Mr. Hitman - Feedback please
on Oct 26, 2017
Hi Joshua. The editing where he's driving the car, for example, could just have been one line, so anywhere you think just having the shot of the actual dialogue would work better. I don't think the hitman character needs too much set-up - you've created a really strong character and we all know what a hit-man is, just throw him into jobs/situations where we can see him at work and get the comedy that way. We loved the wife etc, so that kind of set-up is great and can be dripped in, so we have a good mix of action/set-up. Hope this helps you make Mr Hitman even better, we look forward to seeing more!

Thank you Oliver for your feedback! If you remember, can you specify which scenes where the fast cutting might've been too much?
Also, if we made another "pilot", I'm wondering how much setup of the Mr. Hitman character would be needed. Do you think a general sense of his character was established in the intro? would it be hard for a viewer to digest his character if we just jumped right into a story?

I thought this was really funny! The character works and I wouldn't worry about the production, higher production value doesn't mean a better film! The editing was a little choppy, in some places a funny style choice, but it might have been a little overused on bits that could just have been one take. Also, the bit where he was discovered was anti-climactic - it would have been funnier to see the botched murder or even failure. I enjoyed this a lot and was laughing out loud - the pacing was great as it kept us entertained for the whole time.

Here's a link to my pilot, Mr. Hitman. I am a first time submitter.
It's suppose to be a silly mockumentary.
I know the production isn't great. The picture/color needs work, as does the audio and mixing. But, did anyone find it funny/intriguing? I fell in love with this character as we shot and edited it, so I really want to do more. All feedback is welcome! Thank you.
