Hi Jason, I was on the panel last month. Overall, this was hard to watch as a woman audience member. There were lots of uncomfortable moments. So if I were to give advice I would say make the characters likable enough to get the audience to stay until the end. Having one woman character played by a doll and a male actor's voice and then making her main role be a sex thing just wasn't ideal for me. I agree with Erin, the clue in the condom was fun and interesting but came too late. Fun opening montage and committed performances. Also I know generally buddy cop shows don't do super well at panel because they've been done a lot. So you really have to turn the genre on its head if you want it to succeed. Keep submitting, there were some fun moments in here!

  • I think it starts out great. I can tell that it's two detectives that solve cases all around the city. It's a great opening montage that gives you everything you need to understand what the show is about without taking up much time. Then the episode actually starts and it's green screen. A colorful array of locations in the intro and suddenly almost all the rest of episode is green screen. You could argue that it gives you an opportunity to put those two anywhere but we stay in the same bare walled room.
The actual content of the show was a little lacking. It doesn't feel like a complete story and what is there is a bit confusing. If I'm set up to watch two detectives solving a case, I'd like to see ANY part of that case being solved. From what I can follow, they go from talking to this woman about her problem, the woman offering payment, dinner, and sex to take on the case, and then they have sex with her finding a clue in a condom. The clue is where the story really gets going but that's also where you end it. The story should end with the conclusion of the case being solved or not solved not them finding the first clue.
Something also to be mentioned was the audio levels. It goes in and out which either leaves deafening VO or nearly inaudible room conversations.
I think you guys seem like committed performers, please keep submitting!
