I can't speak for the panel, but I can say that this specific type of satire is a really fine line to walk. The self-promotion at the end probably didn't help, either.
Watching it, it felt kind of like being talked down to, and while there were several funny lines throughout, the execution of the premise never really transcended that which it was explicitly criticizing.
The performances were good and I could definitely see a version of this premise playing; maybe sharpen the timing and remove the self-promotions. Being meta works, but the tone used here in labeling subjective comedy 'bad' can be alienating for audiences.
