    Hi Whit!

I was on the panel for submissions this month so hopefully I can give you some better insight into what we were looking for.

Firstly, this is such a cool idea and show! Congrats on making it. It's a really strong submission.

My biggest note is to get to the fun stuff fast! At panel, we're watching around 70 submissions in one night so we're hoping to get wrapped into a story in the first minute. For example, in your show I think you could have gotten to the inside the TV stuff within around 20 seconds instead of a minute and a half. That note carries throughout the whole show I'd say. When writing and editing, think about the quicker ways to get to the next part. It'll keep the audience excited and engaged. I actually experimented with playing your show in a higher speed on Youtube and I thought it was even funnier haha.

Some compliments: the locations and costumes are really fun! Makes the audience interested in the story. Also that face-off gun shooting scene is amazing. I could see it playing really well at a Channel 101 screening.

Another note would be to try and even-out and improve the sound recording if possible. The wind was a bit distracting and sometimes I couldn't focus on the jokes because the volume was too low or too noisey.

Lastly, I would love to see this show end back at the living room where it began! We love a circular story here at Channel 101.

Overall, this really was a super strong submission. I'd encourage you to re-edit it and submit again or please please make more stuff and submit that! We wanna see it!

  • My first swing at a show on here. Trying to improve anything I can before next month. Any thoughts?
